The fireplace is Georgian in period and between 1750-1785, it is hand carved with original drawing slides, and is reputedly from the now demolished Abbotsbury Castle in Dorset England.

It would be impossible to find another fireplace of such magnificent stature.

As you can see the mortar we used to construct was a little dark but when reconstructing it your builder should be able to match the shade perfectly with no trouble making the fireplace look even more beautiful.
